Customer Service in Grocery Shops

A few months ago, I visited a grocery shop and found two young sales staff talking and arguing. They seemed not to be bothered about my coming in. They went on talking on top of their voices.

Few weeks ago, I visited another grocery shop. This time, the staff were busy on their phones watching video clips.  I moved around and later moved out without anybody asking me what I wanted. This is not good customer service. The job of sales people in a shop is to warmly receive customers with a smile and assist customers through the shopping experience.

Coaching

When a customer comes to your shop or office, you are expected to leave what you are doing, welcome the customer, pay attention and concentrate on the customer. Some staff have a habit of eating or drinking while serving customers. This is a sign that you are not respecting customers. Remember, Customer is King.
